Living History Days: A Chautauqua with Mark Twain & Friends

On September 21st friends and families gathered at the City Park in Edwardsville Illinois for the Madison County Historical Society Chautauqua. Patrons enjoyed living history performances, music, and audience participation into a one-of-a-kind cultural event. Performers included Mark Twain, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, William Jennings Bryan, Booker T. Washington, and Mother Jones.

As live music and the voices of the past filled the air, guests also enjoyed food and drinks from our local vendors. This enriching and delightfully entertaining experience was fun for the whole family.
