Buildings of a Bygone Era

The Madison County History Museum has a new exhibit!  “Buildings of a Bygone Era” features drawings, photographs, and artifacts realted to historic Madison County buildings, most of them long gone from the landscape. This case features a drawing of the old Madison County Sheriff’s residence and some items belonging to Sheriff David Jones who served from 1906-1910.

This residence/jail is one of the buildings that once stood where the MCT Station in Edwardsville is now located.

Exhibit hours are Wednesday – Friday, Noon – 4 and Sunday 1 – 4. It will be available to view until April 27, 2025.
