The Village of Alhambra is one of several small farming communities that can still be found in Madison County. Located six miles east of Hamel on Route 140, it is a combination of two early villages, Alhambra and Greencastle. This issue explores early Alhambra families and businesses and tells the story of two churches that have each passed their sesquicentennial anniversary.
