A Literary Salon

Last year, the first MCHS Literary Salon was such a hit that this year we are moving to a larger venue. On Thursday, January 15, at 7 p.m., join us at the Main Street Community Center, 1003 N. Main St. Edwardsville, for an evening featuring the works of Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson.

Jeff Skoblow will return, this time with friends, and will read aloud poems and prose of these two foundational American poets: poems of independence and freedom in honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, as well as poems of the spirit and the flesh to honor universal human being. The event is free and open to the public.
